A Day in Vienna | Travel Photography

Friends, if you’re following me on Instagram or Facebook, there’s a good chance you’ve heard me talk about my passion for travel. I have a severe case of wanderlust and I’m always dreaming of the next adventure. Travel is so important to me a creative entrepreneur. I like getting out of my comfort zone, experiencing new things, and seeing new places on this little globe of ours. When I first started my business I was always hesitant to step away. I believed that my clients needed me 24/7 and that my business just couldn’t function if I wasn’t chained to my computer. But if there’s anything I’ve learned in the last decade of being a photographer, it’s that I need to put myself first. Stay with me here: I truly believe in the depths of my heart, that I can’t give 100% to my clients and be 100% present in their once-in-a-lifetime moments if I’m not well-rested, creatively charged, and taking care of myself physically and mentally. I know work/life balance is this elusive thing, but I’m still striving in that direction.

Which brings me to the images below. I wanted to share a little slice of Vienna. I was only in this city for about 24 hours – it was just a quick overnight jaunt from Budapest, but even in a short amount of time (most of which was raining!) I fell in love with the beautiful architecture, Austrian wine, and several strangers that made my time as a solo traveler extra special.
