HEIDI + MICHAEL

Ceremony: St. Luke’s Luthern Church, Garfield, MN
Reception: Lakeside Ballroom, Glenwood, MN

Heidi and Michael were married on a beautiful summery day in Heidi’s hometown. It rained in Glenwood when we were in Garfield, and vice versa, so we got really lucky with the weather. Guests came from literally all over the country to celebrate with this amazing couple, and it’s really a testament to how much the people in their lives adore them. H+M are both so charismatic and such fun people, not to mention super-in-love. I especially enjoyed Michael’s heartfelt toast to his new bride- sweetest thing ever! I hope you guys are enjoying your east coast honeymoon!

Amanda Eastvold - WOW Laura! I am SO amazed at the pictures you got out of little Garfield, MN!! I’ve lived there my whole life, and have never seen it as BEAUTIFUL as in your pictures!! Thanks for making the memory of my sister’s wedding so incredible!!! You truly have great talent!

Tricia + Pete were married in the beautiful northern woods of Wisconsin. Every about their day was so natural, so beautiful and SO laid back. I loved all of their cool details and I loved, loved, LOVED getting out of the city and experiencing what makes this part of the country so incredible. This is why I love summers in Minnesota (slash Wisconsin).

Amanda - Awww, cute. The swing one reminded me of my wedding!

Sean - AHH! Are you kidding?! That last image is to DIE for! Beach location looks amazing, especially with that sky! Every single image is brilliant, Laura. Just a stunning series really.

Rain, rain, go away? It may have rained literally the entire day, but M+D didn’t seem to mind. We still rocked out the photos and had a great time (although a bit cold)! As scheduled, we did photos outside at Rice Park in downtown Saint Paul and ducked into the Landmark Center to get a little shelter. Michelle couldn’t have been a more laid back bride. She wasn’t worried about her hair, her dress, her shoes…she was just so happy to be marrying Doug. And, the feeling was mutual. Doug was beaming all day!

Kim Sjoquist - I was at this wedding and while the weather was cold and rainy…it was easy to forget all that by watching the events of the day! Watching Michelle marry Doug made it seem like the sun was out all day! :) The photos are wonderful! What an awesome job you do!

Sheryl + Chris were married on just about the most perfect day you could possibly wish for. It was warm and sunny and rain didn’t dare impose on their perfectly planned outdoor ceremony! Actually, the entire day went off without a hitch and S+C’s friends and family were so incredible! Sheryl’s brother even got me out on the dance floor, which is a first for me while shooting a wedding. What can I say, I’m better at taking photographs than I am at dancing!

S+C are off enjoying a couple weeks in Maui (which is where I went for my honeymoon too!) and I’m sure they’re having a fabulous time! Here’s a little preview for when they’re back from vacay:

Kenzie + Rodney were married on Saturday at a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Arneson Acres in Edina. K+R incorporated so many beautiful details into their day and I loved their vibrant color scheme. Yesterday I recieved a sweet email from R, which I thought was really cool, because usually it’s the bride who emails me:

“Hey Laura- I just wanted to send a note and thank you again for everything you did for us. You went WAY above and beyond the call of duty and we just couldn’t have been more happy with what you brought to the wedding. I actually am really excited to see what you did with your art on our day. I’m pretty sure we’ll be seeing you again when “Baby Brickl” arrives and needs some nice photos. Thanks again for everything you’ve done for us. -Rodney”

Kenzie - I cannot express how thrilled I was when I viewed these for the first time.

Laura really captured the feel of the day – I have looked at these photos in awe, several times, just amazed at how lovely they are, and how great everything (my husband and I included) looks.
