Congrats to Michelle & Conner! This lovely couple was married on a rainy, fall day in Minneapolis. Luckily the skies cleared right before their sunset ceremony in the courtyard at the Mill City Museum! This was one of my favorite weddings of the year and I’m so excited to share all the lovely details. Michelle looked beyond stunning in her gorgeous Vera Wang gown from l’atelier couture and Conner looked equally dapper. The entire day was perfection thanks to Mimi Design, Just Bloomed Florals, and all the other amazing vendors. Enjoy!
I was introduced to Carol & Ryan through previous clients. After corresponding via email, we met in person at a coffee shop in NYC, and from the first meeting I knew these two stylish designers would plan the perfect wedding! Their entire celebration at the Old Field Club in East Setauket, New York, was a labor of love and the couple did all of the planning, invitations, design elements, decor, hand-painted signs, website, and so much more, themselves. Their wedding was recently featured on Style Me Pretty, and the writeup from the bride says it all much better than I ever could! I know there’s often lots of emphasis on the “stuff” and the pretty little details, and that’s certainly fun to show in photographs, but Carol & Ryan’s wedding day went way beyond all that. Their day was as touching as it was beautiful. See the feature here, and check out some of my personal favorites below. Enjoy!
Confession: I have way more beautiful weddings to share than I have time to share them!! Since it’s winter and things tend to be just a bit slower around the studio, I wanted to blog this beautiful wedding from summer of 2013 that I didn’t get a chance to previously showcase! Connie & Kelly found a new chance at love and wanted to celebrate their commitment with a beautiful ceremony and soiree at one of my favorite venues, the Calhoun Beach Club! They enlisted Rachelle from Style Architects to expertly design and coordinate their day and every single detail was just perfect.
Heather & Charlie decided to whisk away and celebrate their marriage with their closest friends and family on the beautiful beaches of Playa del Carmen, Mexico, at Sandos Playacar Resort. Their day was absolutely perfect and it was so fun to get away from the harsh Minnesota winter and enjoy a few days of idyllic weather. I loved getting to know not only Heather & Charlie, but their friends and family. Destination weddings are special because I get to spend an extended amount of time with my clients and I enjoy it so much! Thanks to everyone for being so welcoming and making me feel like part of the group. I wanted to share just a few of my favorites from this meaningful wedding day. I especially loved Heather & Charlie’s wedding ceremony, as they incorporated their guests with special gifts and readings. Charlie also surprised Heather with a touching rendition of “You and I” by Ingrid Michaelson, sang by a friend. Charlie orchestrated all the guests joining in for the last verse, and it was such a great moment. I am actually recently obsessed with their entire wedding soundtrack- see below!
Congratulations, Heather & Charlie!! You’re beautiful inside and out and I wish you all the happiness in the world!
