Just for fun, sometimes I carry my old-school 35mm film camera around in my tote.  This is a random collections of images I captured on that camera in Minneapolis and New York.  A few of the photos including the first and last, were taken from the observation deck of the Foshay Tower in downtown Minneapolis.  A former client-turned-friend was visiting from Boston, and she invited me to be a tourist with her for a day.  I couldn’t say no!  We had the observation deck all to ourselves and had fun taking pics and enjoying the views. I wish she lived closer so we could go on random adventures more often!

I had such a fun time with Chrissy, James & their pup, Hero!  We started their session in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, then headed to the couple’s hometown of Breezy Point, New York, just outside the city for photos on the beach.  We arrived at the perfect time and the sunset was beautiful.  I seriously didn’t know this little slice of heaven existed so close to NYC- it is absolutely stunning, and a perfect summer night (albeit a bit windy!).  Thanks to the lovely couple for the amazing session- I can’t wait to be back in October for the big day!!

I recently dusted off my old, manual, 35mm camera from my high school/college darkroom days.  Even though not much can break on these old, seemingly indestructible cameras, I toted the camera around in my purse for a few days to shoot a roll of film, just to test everything out.  Turns out the camera/lens function perfectly and I’m really loving the results.  The camera is super small, lightweight and compact, so it’s easy to carry everywhere.  It will definitely make a fun travel camera.
