I feel like I should preface this post by stating the fact that I don’t photograph babies! I love babies, and I think they are adorable (especially this baby!) but photographing them is an art form in itself and it takes much skill and patience to be a successful photographer of this genre! I know so many talented photographers that excel in this area and I respect them so much because I feel like it’s so very challenging!
That being said, how could I resist this little guy?! A few weeks ago when a fresh coat of snow was falling over the beautiful city of Minneapolis, I posted on my Facebook page that I was dying to do a winter wonderland shoot. When past bride, Kristi posted that she and husband and baby would gladly volunteer as models, I couldn’t resist! We met that very day and spent 15 (cold) minutes capturing their beautiful family in the snow! Little Hugh is already as stylish as Mom and Dad and a natural model! I just wanted to share a few of these images on my blog. You can also check out Kristi & Kevin’s engagement session and wedding day, both of which were featured on Style Me Pretty (here and here!).

Sarah & Allen love to travel and are planning their May 2012 destination wedding in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, so it only made sense to include their favorite hobby (travel, of course!) in their engagement session! Sarah and Allen live in Jackson Heights, but ventured downtown for their session at the South Street Seaport and Financial District. I spend my NYC time living in the Financial District and it’s one of my favorite neighborhoods. There are great little pockets and so much character. Sarah & Allen and I also came up with fun little props, like the “Bon Voyage” banner and suitcases, which will be used on their wedding day.
Can’t wait for your big day, guys! Is it May yet?! :)

Meet Lauren & Bobby! They are avid golfers, so it only made sense to shoot at one of their favorite Minneapolis golf courses for their engagement session! The night before Bobby proposed to Lauren he shot a hole-in-one at this very course, which I’m told is an extremely rare feat and a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence. Bobby took it as a sign and popped the question the very next day! This couple has such a great story. In addition to their exciting proposal, they met on an airplane when they were seated together on the way home from a completely random visit out east. A good reason to put away your iPod and enjoy the company! :)

Teryn is an amazing photographer (check out here work here), so I was really excited when she contacted me to do a session with her and her husband near their new (gorgeous!!) house that they recently purchased. This couple is so full of personality and charisma and I know Teryn and I will become good friends over photography & life chats! Enjoy these lovely fall pictures!
