Favorite shot from my shoot at Red Rock Canyon outside of Las Vegas with the fabulous Miss Elly!

I traveled to Bulgaria and Greece in June and July of 2008 and since I was so busy with weddings over the summer and fall and I never really got a chance to blog my favorite photos. So, without further ado, here they are!

Wow — these are TOTALLY breathtaking!
[...] I think when most American’s think of traveling to Europe, Bulgaria isn’t even on their radar, which is unfortunate, because it is truly a beautiful country and still very affordable! It’s a very popular ski destination in the winter and seaside destination in the summer amongst other Europeans. Having traveled there is both seasons, I can attest to the great things to see and do. You can check out some of my past travels to Bulgaria here. [...]
Wow, love the BG photos! Looks like an amazing place!
[...] In the meantime, you can check out from travel photos from 2008. [...]

Maya Bay, on the island of Ko Phi Phi. Maya Bay is where The Beach, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, was filmed:

Back on dry land, enjoying some interesting foods at the local market. The hubby was game for anything, even crickets and worms. For 10 bahts (34 cents) you get a whole ziplock baggie full o’ your favorites and a bamboo stick for convenient eating. Yum!

boy oh boy… be careful with the monkeys… we were attacked by some last time. The crickets and worms aren’t that bad deep fried, you should’ve seen those in South Korea. They just steamed them and gosh, that tasted weird. LOL
What is a good route to travel Thailand?
Im flying to Thailand to start my travelling trip in a few months and would like a group route in which to travel around? You help would be appreciated.
Since I’ve been back from Thailand, the first question everyone asks me is, “How was your trip?” I’d love to wow everyone by rattling off a clear, concise answer to accurately describe everything that I saw, and felt, and experienced….But I’m better at taking photos than I am at writing.
I guess if I had to sum it, I would say it was a fabulous vacation! I loved the Thai people, the smiles, the food…OH MY GOSH the food! I loved the bustle of Bangkok and the serene deserted beaches off the coast of Krabi. I loved the sky train, the longtails and the cheap cab rides. There really wasn’t much I didn’t love. Since a picture says a thousand words, I’ll leave you with a small novel:

Bangkok was only a small portion of our trip- I’ll be posting photos from the beach soon!

Wow… absolutely amazing Laura, thanks for sharing those. I’m not sure I really want to know “what” some of those food item are Ü
Glenda, wait until you see my next post from the beach. The food there was very…exotic! I’ll post pics!
Laura, these are AMAZING! you should create a coffee table book out of these and have them published, or sell the photos (for major $$, of course) to the Thai Tourism board! :)
And ~ i think you favorite pic is great – i love how the boat is illuminated from the reflection of the water.
wow, stunning Laura..I feel like I was there with you view those photos…minus our frigid cold here :) Can’t wait for the beach pics!
Laura….love the photos! You are an amazing photographer…I love you photojournalistic take…I was in Thailand in November and its really cool to see your perspective on this amazing country!
It’s about 90 below here in Minneapolis (seriously, it’s cold) and I’ve spent the majority of the day reminiscing about my days in Thailand and dreaming of vacations to come. I’ve given my internet a workout browsing every travel website known to mankind. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my job and my fabulous clients, but I also love exploring far off lands, new cultures and yummy cuisine.
I edited this photo using a technique that I’d never normally use for weddings or portraits, but I’m digging the rugged, vagabond, easy, distressed feel. I think it just fits this genre of photo.

I’m almost caught up with my client photos, so more Thailand photos coming soon!

That is absolutely gorgeous. The technique fits perfectly with the photo. Definitely something I would frame and hang on my wall :-) Great job. Can’t wait until February 28th! Oh and I know Jeanna – the engagement photos below – small world!
This really is beautiful! You really captured so much depth in this one. It just seems like it goes on forever! The technique is very neat.
