I love this couple and I loved their session! We had so much fun out at my grandparent’s farm in rural Le Center, MN, and I loved the cool props that Kelsy & Butch brought along. They incorporated things they love doing together like drinking wine and Kelsy’s super fun vintage-replica bicycle. K&B are actually super awesome wedding photographers based out of Wisconsin, so we had to get some shots with their cameras too!

Miranda had her hair and makeup done by Unveiled and was looking fabulous and Weston looked so dapper in his dress blues. Enjoy a mini-sneak peek of their session!

I am so, so, SOOOO excited to be published once again, this time in the fabulous Minnesota Bride Magazine! Brides to be, and anyone in the industry, if you aren’t reading this magazine, I’d recommend rushing out and buying a copy of this magazine as soon as possible! Minnesota Bride is one of my favorite magazines and a great resource for anyone planning their area in the great state of lakes! One of my goals for 2010 was to be published in this magazine and so I’m so thrilled to have THREE features in the Fall/Winter issue!

Isn’t the cover fab?

First up, Jill & Matt’s beautiful winter wedding was chosen to be featured! You can check out more of Jill & Matt’s wedding photos here. Jill & Matt put a ton of time and effort into hosting a amazing affair with tons of beautiful details and I loved being a part of their big day.

My photographs were also featured for a great article on farm weddings. All of the photos featured are from Jess and Zach’s gorgeous, rustic wedding at the Round Barn Farm in Red Wing, Minnesota last fall. I absolutely LOVE farm weddings, and if you’re planning a wedding at the Round Barn Farm, I am dying to shoot there again! Jess was interviewed for this article and there is a ton of great advice, so pick up a copy of the magazine and read for yourself!

Lastly, I was interviewed for an article on boudoir photography, and my photos from Sandra’s session were featured! Because of the private nature of boudoir sessions, I don’t blog a ton of my work, but boudoir photography actually makes up a HUGE part of my business and I shoot a TON of boudoir sessions, so it was an honor to be interviewed. The article highlights a variety of FAQs about boudoir sessions and gives lots of helpful advice from women who have actually had boudoir photos taken and industry professionals. By the way, Hana from Mani Mela, is responsible for Sandra’s hair and makeup, and boudoir clients or brides-to-be, if you’re in need of an awesome hair and makeup artist that comes on site for you, I love working with Hana!

Tiffany - Congrats Laura!! You deserve it :)

Jason Thon - It looks great Laura. Congrats on the features, you deserve it!

Whitney - Nice job!!!! I’ll have to go buy the magazine to read the article now =)

Alright, take care, Laura. It was wonderful to have you be a special part of our special day!!

While my hubby and I were visiting the motherland in May, we road tripped over to Turkey for a few days. Every time we go to Bulgaria, we try to visit a bordering country and for years I’ve been wanting to visit Turkey. Istanbul certainly did not disappoint. It is one of the most interesting places I have ever visited. It’s a predominantly Muslim country (a new experience for us) and although we spent most of our time on the European side of Turkey, it’s very unlike any other part of Europe that we’ve ever seen. It’s a mix of east and west, and a very bustling, cosmopolitan city. I loved witnessing the Call to Prayer every afternoon; a blast of song throughout the entire city, where all of the men duck into the mosques or pray in the streets. Plus, Istanbul is the city that divides a continent; we drove from Europe to Asia- how cool is that? There was literally a “Welcome to Asia”/”Welcome to Europe” sign as you cross the bridge that connects the two.

Jason Thon - Laura, I love how it feels so different from your Bulgaria pictures. Great Job!

sean - extraordinary. i mean actually, really extraordinary. each one. no exceptions. i’m OBSESSED with your travel photography.

Katja - We visited Istanbul in 2008 for 5 days. It’s a fantastic city, so full of contrasts and origin places. Have you been in Topkapi Palace? Or on the old cemetary on the hill? Such inspiring and extraordenary places. I’ll have a look on my pics in the evening :-) Remember time…

Tabetha - I love the colors at the markets!

Stacy Able - aahhhh gorgeous!!!!!!!! love the spice shots especially!!

Melissa Schollaert - Hey girl! These look fantastic! What a great place to visit. Did you take most of these w/ your Canon or Contax? {I can tell the holga shots – hehe – love them!}

Jess - Beautiful! Makes me want to visit Turkey even more than I did before. The architecture is incredible and there are so many colors in the markets! Lovely!

Sherri - Beautiful, Laura! I love all the brilliant colors and the fabulous evening shots! Your work (as always) is inspiring.

Tiffany - Stunning! This puts Turkey even closer to the top of my list! :)

Jyll - These look great Laura! I love the holga and spice/tea shots!

Amy - Love this pictures!! Brings me back to my honeymoon! It was a great city to explore I wish I had more time there!

Jodi - Woah, great pics! Is that Ivan in that pic?! Ha!

Laura - Thanks for your awesome comments everyone. Reading them really makes my day!! Jodi, yep, that would be Ivan!

YAZYJO - WOW Laura!! I love them all!!!!! :)
