love the milkshake! so classic + sweet. these two look so happy!
They are so cute together!!! Is that her ring? That is so unique! PS – it’s sooooo Minnesotan to do the ice cream when it’s cold outside. I kind-of love it!
:) So cute! And all the snow makes it look very cozy.
@Melissa, Rosie’s dad made these rings and presented one in a handmade leather pouch to each of the guests at Rosie & Dan’s wedding ceremony. It was so touching.
Here’s another set of images from the Tuscany, Italy wedding photography workshop with Jose Villa. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about my experience in Italy and how much it has impacted my professional and personal life. I made so many amazing connections at the workshop and I grew so much as a business woman and as a photographer. I can’t thank Jose and all of my new friends enough. Seriously, made some amazing connections and I am so thankful! In 2010, and always, one of my big goals is to continuously strive to become better; to always be learning more. I find that this doesn’t necessarily happen in the traditional sense, but rather through my relationships with my photographer friends. In 2010 I’d like to attend at least 2-3 workshops as well as WPPI, which is always an amazing experience.
Anyway, a big thank you to all who contributed to the following shoot:
Coordination- Jose Villa
Hair + Makeup- Mar of Team Hair & Makeup
Styling- Matthew Johns
Models- Valentina & Giordano
Location- La Selva Giardina del Belvedere
And finally, a few of my favorites that I captured under the beautiful Tuscan sun!
I love the light on her hair.. not to mention kick ass dress :D You worked it!
Stunning…just stunning! I want to be under that sun.
As BEAUTIFUL as the Tuscan scenery is, I am in love with the door shots. I think I’m obsessed with doors…
Ugggh, these are BEAUTIFUL! The houses, the fields, the hills. It’s all so perfect!

Jill + Matt and their families hosted an amazing wedding and it was such a great way to kick off the 2010 season! I loved the elegant yellow, navy and gold color scheme and all of the lovely touches that personalized J+M’s big day. My favorite part of the day was witnessing how much Matt absolutely adores Jill. Of course, Jill adores Matt as well, but Matt was always so concerned about Jill and obviously wanted her to have the wedding of her dreams. J+M were also willing to brave the cold, and boy, it was cold! Luckily for J+M they will leave the cold behind for the next week while they enjoy a much deserved honeymoon in Jamaica! I hope you enjoy a small preview of your special day!
OHHH! Isn’t the snow majestic! Looooovve these! Brilliant perspective from the church floor! :)

Coordination- Jose Villa
Hair + Makeup- Mar of Team Hair & Makeup
Styling- Matthew Johns
Models- Giordano + Geogria
Location- La Selva Giardina del Belvedere
Here are a few of my favorite shots from the shoot:
Beautiful! Wish we were there again right now! :)
Ahhhh bellissimo!
The couple is too gorgeous for words. You WORKED that shoot. The depth of color is just phenomenal…so rich, vibrant and bright. Fabulous job!!
I’m sure it’s your great style as well, but these two have such an awesome.. vibe in this series. They just rock, the images feel fantastic & fun! Brilliant!
Gawwwwd. The light is AMAZING. The light is FABULOUS. I can’t stop looking at these. (Oh, not to mention attending a workshop with Jose AND Gene?!)
Beautiful couple, light and colors!! Just awesome :)
These are YUMMY!
I agree! The lighting is to die for in these photos and the couple definitely seem to have a real connection. They are a real couple, right? If not, they really know how to work it!

Jessica Flannigan - WOW! Gorgeous way to start the week! Love these.
John Sharpe - Wow….amazing! Love that first shot!
Amy - I love these! Great italian models! So gorgeous! What an awesome location to shoot at!
Alexia - love! What lense did you use? 50mm….. they are amazing and love how they pop from the background…
Rebecca - lovely!
Laura - Thanks everyone for your comments! I really appreciate it! @Alexia- most of these images were captured with the 50 1.2L (I usually shoot at or around f/2.0), however, the first shot (and similar) were shot with the 70-200is 2.8L. I need to use that lens more often because the bokeh is sweet and has a completely different look than the 50. I love how the subject pops from the background with that lens.
Jason Thon - Laura – I love the first and third image! The tilt of the cap on the third is fantastic.
s h e r r y - Mmmmm, gorgeous. I love the feet shot- very Jose-ish. The 3rd photos is also very dapper!
Laura - @Sherry, hehe, yes, Jose gets all the credit for directing the feet shot!
Poly Mendes - Wow! Just amazing! Your pictures are just fabulous every time…
Crystal - I can’t take my eyes of these photographs!
Jyll - These are great Laura! You captured Omar and Giorgia beautifully! I’m lovin’ those scarf shots=)
sara montour - Laura! That first shot is UNREAL . I’m in love!
Amanda - WHAT?! Are the for real?! Laura, these are fabulously amazing!
