MADELINE & BRIAN | DULUTH WEDDING WITH LAURA MULLEN EVENT DESIGN

From the second Madeline walked in the door of my studio, planner and vision in tow, I have been counting down the days to Madeline & Brian’s wedding!  I’ve gotten to know this couple over the past year and learned their story, and although their wedding was seriously overflowing with gorgeous details, this was even more so about the commitment they are making to each other, which has been a decade in the making.  M&B have been through so much together, have stood by each other’s sides, and have so much more yet to come.

Madeline herself is in the bridal industry, so only the best of the best vendors would do for their big day! Laura Mullen Event Design did an amazing job from start to finish and ensured this wedding went off without a hitch! Of course, I also have to mention Madeline’s gown. I mean, seriously ladies, I coudld’ve done an entire blog post with just images of Madeline looking fabulous. Her custom Oscar de la Renta gown was literally, the perfect choice, and her entire look was styled to perfection thanks to the amazing ladies (her coworkers!) at l’atelier couture. There are too many fantastic vendors thank them all, but seriously… all top notch! I am so lucky to work with such fabulous couples and vendors who are passionate about what they do!! I also wanted to recognize Madeline’s mother for all she did! From what I hear, she had a big hand in the gorgeousness that is this wedding, and also took on many projects, like sewing the runners for all the tables, and the pillows that were used for decor. All these details, and the incorporation of Brian’s love for fishing (the custom made bow ties, and the fishing lures on the butler passed hors d’oeuvres) made this event so personal. I literally could’ve posted hundreds more images!! Thanks to everyone involved, especially this beautiful couple! I am beyond honored to have been a part of your day.

PUBLISHED | MPLS ST PAUL WEDDINGS MAGAZINE

From Ms. to Mrs.! Congratulations to the lovely Emily Howald Sefton, editor of Mpls St Paul Weddings Magazine! I had the privledge of photographing her first dress fitting at l’atelier couture, and an image from the fitting was published in Emily’s Editor’s Note in the Fall/Winter issue of the magazine. Can I just take a second to tell you how much I love the ladies of l’atelier? I saw firsthand at the fitting how much attention, care, and love they devote to each and every single bride. The girls helped Emily into her gorgeous Vera Wang gown and treated her like royalty. I could tell it was a moving experience, not only for Emily, but for her mother and the rest of her family that joined her. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it, Emily! And, thank you to Mpls St Paul Magazine!

blog_title_decorationEMILY & MATTHEW | ARIA WEDDING WITH FAB EVENT DESIGN

Emily & Matthew are one of the funnest, spunkiest, most vibrant couples I’ve ever met. They reside in San Fran and planned their wedding from afar, so I didn’t get to meet Emily right away (or Matthew until the day of the wedding!), but I from our very first conversation on the phone, I was really excited about their big day and loved how much they love each other. Emily and Matthew, along with their amazing coordinator, Kirsten of Fab Event Design, planned a bright, fun, bold, graphic celebration and it was just E&M 110%. There were so many unique details (can we talk about the ribbon strung place cards that Kirsten and her crew slaved over for hours?!) and sweet moments throughout this day.  I was in love with their adorable first look, and I was in tears during the first dance.

Be sure to check out their feature in The Knot Magazine!
