I just adore Michelle & Conner! Can we just take a minute to admire how sweet they are together? (And, how extraordinarily stylish they are?!) Michelle & Conner met as graduate students at Columbia University, so it was only fitting we do their engagement session in the city where they met and fell in love. We started on the Upper West Side and made our way down to Madison Square Park, finishing our sunny evening together with a very unhealthy, but delicious dinner at Shake Shack. I can’t wait for your big day this fall!!

Helgi - beautiful as always!

Miranda Williams - Gorgeous! Love the outfits they chose. The colors work great with the blooming trees.

I absolutely adore Gina! She is someone I consider myself very lucky to know and to call a friend. She has an amazing heart & soul, and is so compassionate. She gives so much to others through her photography and her motivational work. I love Gina’s aesthetic and was so excited when she asked me to capture images for her new website. (Go check it out immediately!!) I love how Gina styled her session and the crisp, white, outdoor location she chose.

Jenna Leigh - Amazingly beautiful – images and Gina! :)

Erica & Bert planned the most gorgeous spring wedding at the McNamara Alumni Center in Minneapolis.  Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans and there was snow on the ground at for their late April nuptials!  Check out the photo below where the bridal party is throwing snowballs!  Erica and Bert didn’t seem to mind the weather and got cozy for photos at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.  Best wishes to the sweet couple!

Urška Majer - So beautiful! Love those portraits with the green walls behind :)

Today would’ve been my little sweetie’s 6th birthday. Our little pup got sick, and there was nothing we could do but cherish the time we had left with her. For those who have lost a pet, a beloved family member, you know how painful it is and I just wish I could snuggle her soft muzzle one more time or take her for one more walk just to see the pure joy on her face. I really miss my Bianca every single day. I wanted to share one picture, in her honor. Even though you can’t see her cute lil’ mug in this image, I love it because it just shows our little family, the way we were. When my husband saw this image, he laughed and simply said, “Pleasure.” Bianca is in pure heaven being cuddled by us. We were her whole world, and she was ours. I will always love this photo and I can’t thank our friends Kelsy & Butch enough for capturing this session for us. I’m so happy we have these photos because less than 3 months after they were taken we found out Bianca had terminal cancer.  As sad as I am that Bianca is gone, I am so grateful for all the sweet memories we have in our hearts. She meant so much to us.

Bethany Aleshire - I’m SO sorry Laura for your loss. My heart goes out to you! I had to give up my own dog in December and it was one of the hardest I’ve ever done. Now I’d wish I’d treasure the kisses, laughs, and snuggles I had with her more, too. xoxo

Emily DeWan - What a sweet photo; I have no doubt she was so happy! I come from a family with lots of pets, and it’s never easy to say goodbye to a furry family member.

Helgi - The Rainbow Bridge

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stand still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.

For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the ranbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are they are whole, their lives filled
with gladness. There limbs are restored, their health
renewed, their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

They romp through the grass, without even
care, until one day they start, and sniff the air. All ears
prick forward, eyes dart front and back, then all of the
sudden, one breaks from the pack.

For just at that instant, there eyes have met; Together
again, both person and pet. So they run to each other,
these friends from long past, there time of there parting
is over at last.

The sadness they felt whilethey were apart, has urned into
joy once more in each heart. They enbrace with the love
that will last forever, and then side-by-side they cross over

Bridget Salmi - Laura, I’m so sorry for your loss. As one of my friends says, “pets are good for the soul.” I have no doubt that Bianca had a wonderful life in your care.

geneoh - I can’t even imagine. This is why we’re photographers.
